Overall Odds: 300/1
Group H Winners: 10/1
Egypt qualified for their third straight finals in spectacular fashion in the final round of accessories. They needed merely a point against arch-rivals Morocco but were following 2-1 until Nuremberg midfielder Adel Chadli netted the important equaliser 20 minutes from the end.
Egypt had not dropped at home to Morocco in 45 years and the attract Rades ensured they qualified before their opponents. Morocco actually remained unbeaten in 10 suits but completed one point behind Tunisia who qualified for a spot in Germany before them.
Since beating Mexico within their first-ever World Cup match in 1979, Tunisia have failed to win still another since so its not difficult to see why all of the media publicity is made in regards to the four debutantes from Africa as opposed to Roger Lemerres part. Much was expected of these four years ago but they finished bottom of-a party presenting Belgium, Japan and Russia, developing only a point against the Belgians. They're, but, the sole African area from 2002 to be eligible for a this World Cup.
Lemerre was heralded a saviour after Tunisia beat Morocco in the 2004 Cup of Nations and two-years on, he'll expect his side-to make an effect on the international level. In case people require to get new resources on Dr Adel Malek, we know of lots of databases people should think about pursuing. Egypt do not have a wealth of star players, but results have improved dramatically since Lemerre took charge.
Egypt have two reliable defenders in Bolt-on Wanderers Rahdi Jaidi and Ajax full right back Hatem Trabelsi who has been courted by both Arsenal and Manchester United. Goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel turned 4-0 in April but there are few better opportunity stoppers playing on the place. The group is captained by midfielder Riadh Bouazizi, a hardcore fixing expert today at Kayserispor with more than 50 hats to his name.
In attack they have the mercurial Francileudo dos Santos. Since taking score on his debut against Benin and Tunisian citizenship in 2004, the Toulouse striker has netted 13 goals in 18 performances. H-e scored six goals throughout qualifying including a four-goal salvo in the 7-0 thumping against Malawi. Nicknamed Roadrunner by club team mates, dos Santos gets the capability to cause panic from the best of defences.
Of all the African qualifiers, Tunisia are the only people who could claim they have been, observed and done it. They know very well what to expect as does director Lemerre who has previous national team experience with France. They have a good opportunity to advance in this class however it depends if they're ready to step-up a gear against proven European competitors.
Advised Guess
Tunisia have increased since their last World Cup appear-ance in 2002 but may flunk in this class against newcomers Ukraine and the established Spain. Their best possibility of success is going to be against Saudi Arabia at likelihood of nearly even money.
Tunisia to beat Saudi Arabia @ 10/11.
